Chubb Terms & Conditions:

The above offers are based on the following terms and conditions:

  • The client signs our standard 36 month monitoring and response agreement.
  • The client passes Chubb’s credit vetting process.
  • The clients sign a debit order for the monthly fees.
  • The client falls within Chubb’s operational footprint.
  • The clients has no outstanding balance with Chubb

The operational area is the area where Chubb armed response vehicles currently provide an armed response service.  This is limited to the following areas:

Pretoria, Centurion, Polokwane, Tzaneen, Witbank, Middelburg, Nelspruit, Johannesburg, Midrand, West Rand, South Rand, East Rand, Bloemfontein, Welkom, Vaal Triangle, Brits, Rustenburg, Mafikeng, Durban, Amanzimtoti, Westville, Richards Bay, Ladysmith, Newcastle, Pietermaritzburg, Ballito, St. Michaels, Scottburgh, Port Edward, Cape Town, George, Port Elizabeth and Port Alfred.

Minimum Installation Standards

  • Any new or existing alarm system must comply with Bylaw 2 of SAIDSA.
  • All passive infrared detectors will be equipped with creep zone detection or detect at least one meter from the wall underneath the passive.
  • The power connection from the control panel to the radio transmitter will be installed separate from the alarm harness and will be below ceiling level.
  • The communicator cable to the radio transmitter will include a tamper loop, connected to a separate trigger input on the radio transmitter programmed as “radio tamper”.  This cable will be installed below the ceiling and separate from the power cable to the radio transmitter. The burglary, panic, communicator failure and open/close outputs will be connected from programmable triggers on the control panel to the radio transmitter.
  • AC loss and low battery conditions will be transmitted via the radio transmitter.
  • The radio transmitter will transmit a weekly test signal


A communications link fee of R151, inclusive of VAT will be charged annually (period: January to December or any portion thereof).

The monthly monitoring and armed response fee chargeable will be fixed at R295 inclusive of VAT for all CashReturn members. This fee will escalate on an annual basis as announced by Chubb.
